Dutch people, we get it. You're tall, very
tall, every single one of you. Even you shorter ones look tall; must be a posture thing.
No, seriously, we get it. This means you don't need to put the urinals up so
high that i have to stand on my tiptoes to use them, just to rub it in. That's just cruel.
Veen's gonna kill me for this, but we're not sticking around long enough to see the end of the Tour de France. Just not willing to get up early enough to get a good view from the Champs Elysee, and not well-connected enough to a French politician to get a place in the bleachers.
I'm sure Floyd can pull it off without me this one time.
We're leaving for one, and then the other, in about 20 minutes. Also parts in-between, whether by train or by car.* We haven't done any planning yet, and, weirdly, I've never been to either before. Recommendations?
* Originally, I typed this "by bar," which is also accurate.
Picked this up for the trip out to Savannah next week (where, I'm told, it's 95 degrees, filled with mosquitos, and prone to sudden and unexpected thunderstorms.) Anybody been there and have anything they would suggest I do?
