oh so many interesting things happening in her life that i want to share with you:

* we finally got her complete website launched this morning. which made me realize, i haven't launched an actual website outside of work since, oh, 1999? fun! check out the nifty right-aligned background pattern. also the totally hot photo on the about page. finished with the help of our talented coder pal bart solowiej.

* she started working this morning for ted boerner, a company she's been interested in for years. it's part-time for now but the possibilities are huge, and she's really excited about it, particularly the opportunity to get exposure to the high-end furniture production process.

* she and her cloud bed are going to be featured in an upcoming issue of surface magazine, in a piece on the best new furniture student work of 2006.

* and the cloud bed is also going to be showcased in an upcoming 25th anniversary show at limn in november. limn is one of the top furniture showrooms in the country, so getting into the show is a pretty big deal.

Big congrats to Courtney, the site looks awesome. It's really tough to get a website to look kind of like a feel of furniture design, but I think it's really up the same alley. The shapes in the background are evocative of the cloud bed and other stuff featured on the site. Great work!

That fabril (the teal and red) is exactly what I've been scouring the whole world for to make drapes for my living room, no lie. (I have dark aqua walls and red furniture. trust me, it looks nice.) But the point is - her stuff is so gotrgeous - all of it, that it hits the inner "want" button which means she's bound to be a raging success. Congrats to her for kicking ass and scoring a great gig. And for the appearance in Surface*. I know the publisher, and they are very fussy about what they show, so I can see why you're so proud! Kickass, kickass, kickass! I can't convey my level of impressed-ness.
